COLUMBUS YOUTH CAMP

Fun, Laughter, and Learning Since 1935.
Columbus Youth Camp is nestled among the Indiana hardwood forest just a short drive from Columbus, Indiana.

The natural environment is our classroom, passion, and tool for teaching. While nature is our classroom, exploration is the driving force for all we do. Whether it is exploring one’s own inner fortitude on the zip line, developing interpersonal skills on the team challenge course, learning how to paddle on our lake, or developing a life-long passion for growth and learning during our summer camp, every participant will develop a desire to explore and grow. We currently boast 137 acres of rolling landscape, only 15 of which are developed. Seven miles of trails link eleven cabins, mountain bike trail, two challenge courses, the lake, and outdoor theater, shelter house, yucca center, experiential learning center, playscape, and Reeves Conference Center.

With engaging projects, experienced staff, and occasional field trips, campers explore new interests and make lasting memories.

M.E.T.A.S.
M.E.T.A.S. (Making Education Thrive Around Summertime) is a partnership between Foundation For Youth and Su Casa Columbus that helps prevent summer learning loss for Latino students in Bartholomew County. Serving youth in grades 1–6, the program combines daily academic enrichment in reading, math, and social-emotional learning with traditional summer camp activities that encourage friendship, fun, and personal growth. With free transportation, meals, culturally responsive support, and strong community partnerships, M.E.T.A.S. creates meaningful opportunities for students to learn, thrive, and stay connected throughout the summer.
