CHUCK KIME

Executive Director

Chuck has spent his career working with and for children.  He believes FFY’s role is to help families raise children. His role is to connect our work with the greater community. Chuck encourages all of us to live up to the strong heritage that we’re trusted to carry forward.

ANDREW YOUNG

Associate Director

As Associate Director I oversee the operational success of the Foundation For Youth in terms of youth development outcomes, professional development and training, grant management, and setting organizational policy/procedure. I am Credentialed at the Professional Level for Child and Youth Care work and act as a trainer for the Professional Credentialing of all our youth care staff through The Child & Youth Care Certification Board. As a matter of best practice I oversee the full integration of the Developmental Assets into all of our programs.

NATHAN LARRISON

Youth Development Director

Nathan began his employment with the organization as a Teen Staff. Over the years, he has worked in various roles including Site Coordinator, Camp Counselor, Lifeguard, Teen Programs Director, and Boys & Girls Club Director. In 2020, Nathan became the Youth Development Director leading the Boys & Girls Club and Columbus Youth Camp Directors. Nathan promises to always be a voice for our youth and our community by inspiring and enabling the lives of all.

KARINA WILLATS, C.F.R.E.

Chief Development Officer

Karina loves to share her passion for FFY, keeping our community donors and volunteers informed and inspired about our work. Her role is to develop and implement a strategic plan to raise vital funds to enable FFY programs to thrive.

TOM BROSEY

Business Operations Director

Tom joined FFY in 2005 and has been responsible for the business aspects of the FFY organization ever since. He leverages over 30 years of experience with Fortune 500 companies to lead, manage, and continuously improve FFY’s business practices.

TINA CUNNINGHAM

Business Operations Manager

Tina Cunningham has worked for Foundation For Youth since February 2015.  She is the Business Operations Manager and wears many “hats”.  Tina handles our Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Human Resources as well as leading our Customer Service Manager.  Tina managed Business Loan Operations for several banks for over 18 years before joining the FFY family!

TAMARA MECCA

Customer Service Manager

Tamara began her time at FFY in March of 2018 in the Boys & Girls Club. She loves that her job includes getting to know all of the FFY families that come through the front doors and building impactful relationships that last for many years. When Tamara isn’t at the registration desk, you can catch her with her three sons (#boymom), as family time is very important to her.

ASHLEY HARRISON

Health & Wellness Director

Ashley has been with FFY since September 2016 where she started by serving as an AmeriCorps Volunteer. She was hired on part-time September 2017 as the Girls On The Run & Trailblazers Coordinator at the completion of her service year and exactly one year later moved into the position of Athletic Director September 2018. She still coordinates Girls On The Run and Trailblazers as well as the youth basketball and volleyball leagues and adult basketball league. Ashley loves seeing youth and adults participate in the athletic programs offered at FFY.

JAMES FAHRENKAMP

Boys & Girls Club Director

James lives in Franklin, Indiana with his wife and 4 kids (3 boys, and 1 girl). He has worked with youth since 2013 volunteering, tutoring, and managing after-school programs. He is TBRI, conscious discipline, and CPI trained. He enjoys hiking, reading, vacationing, and relaxing.

He believes in creating an inviting, safe environment that develops into a loving community. His goals for the club are to develop safe enjoyable programming for all youth, provide developmental academic hands-on activities, and give support to all involved in the club and community. He believes that most members can have the same opportunities with a little extra love and coaching. He will achieve this through TBRI practices, building relationships, community involvement, DAP/DA planning, and consistent training.

HUNTER LARRISON

Assistant Boys & Girls Club Director

Hunter began working in the Club in 2015, working on homework with #ffykids in the Cranium Bowl. Now, he is able to work with all of our youth and staff as Assistant Club Director, where he mediates conflict between our members and helps with the everyday operations of the Club. Hunter loves being able to break away from responsibilities and find his way into a pick-up basketball game with some of our #ffykids. Foundation For Youth has been a second home to Hunter since he was 16, and he loves being able to help provide that second home for others.

KELLY BACKMEYER

BBBS Program Director

Kelly has been with Foundation For Youth since 2014. She holds a B.A. in Social Work from Morehead State University and has over 25 years experience as a Licensed Social Worker. Her previous experience includes working in various community sectors and organizations. Kelly is passionate about helping all youth reach their full potential and believes whole-heartedly in the power of relationships to make this happen. She also believes Foundation For Youth is such a great organization to be part of because of the commitment and mission to inspire and enable our youth and our community.

LISA SHOAF

Lisa Shoaf has been working with BBBS since November 2022 as a Match Support Specialist. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She had worked with children for several years in various Church responsibilities, school settings, and with the 4-H program. It is important to her to help children feel confident and to have the needed support to be successful. She is excited to help encourage the Bigs, the Littles and their families in their BBBS journey.

ALYSSA DEVONISH

Enrollment & Marketing Specialist

Alyssa has been with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bartholomew County since August 2021. She completed her Bachelor's Degree in Business Marketing & Management from Indiana University in 2018. She became part of Foundation For Youth in September 2019 through AmeriCorps as FFY's Volunteer Manager. Her passion for hard work and helping others has led her to join our Big Brothers Big Sisters Team.

LISA BROOKSHIRE

Match Support Specialist

Lisa has been with Big Brothers Big Sisters since February 2018. She holds a degree in Child Development and Family Studies from Purdue University. She supports both school and community based matches. Lisa shared she finds great reward in supporting and encouraging Littles and their families, as they take advantage of the opportunities made available in our wonderful community. Just as important, Lisa shared, it is a privilege to assist Bigs and Littles in the process of developing meaningful relationships

BRIAN CAIN

Brian has been with CYC since 2016. His education and experience is rooted in outdoor and experiential education. His passion is giving youth and adults opportunities to learn and grow through positive outdoor experiences. As camp director, Brian will focus on creating community partnerships rooted in providing equitable access to the benefits of the natural environment. In his free time, he works in his woodshop and spends time with his wife Leslie and their dog Cooper.

ODALIS IRAHETA

Odalis worked at the Boys and Girls Club as the Club Educator before accepting her position at CYC. In 2019 she received her Youth Development Degree from Indiana University. From then on she worked with youth as a camp counselor and in afterschool programs. Odalis has always loved working with youth and is excited to program various activities for camp. Before moving to Columbus to live with her boyfriend she lived in Indianapolis with her family. During her downtime she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She is always up for a good hike with her boyfriend and their two dogs.

LEVI CASH

Levi first started his career with FFY at the very end of his senior year of high school in 2017 as a Floor Staff in our Boys & Girls Club; as many do, he took on various roles over the next few years, working his way out to Columbus Youth Camp as their Head Counselor. Levi continued growing into that role and managing our member-based after-school and breaks programs. Levi is excited to now serve in a full-time capacity as our Site Manager. Levi has many skills that will make him valuable in this role, and his hands-on experience with our youth will strongly impact his approach.
