THE RACE
Sprint Distance - The race starts and finishes at Tipton Lakes Marina in Columbus, Indiana.
The swim is an out-and-back course starting at The Marina (0.5 mile).
The bike course consists of flat to rolling hills through the countryside of Bartholomew County (17.5 miles).
The run course is flat and on roads within beautiful Tipton Lakes residential area (3.1 miles).
Olympic Distance -
1500m Swim~ 25 mile Bike ~ 6.2 mile Run.
**The swim will be a time trail start rather than the wave start as in the past.
Participants will be numbered based on their swimming ability that was submitted when registering.
2013 Training Sessions Schedule
Friday, August 9th - 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. - Join us for a free dinner for participants, boat rides of the water course, and a chance to get your bike tuned up by Columbus Bicycle Station.
Food is available for purchase for those not registered to race.
Saturday, August 10th - 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. - Packet pickup and race day registration. There is a mandatory meeting at 7:30 a.m. for race participants. Transition will open at 5:30 a.m.
ID required to pick up race packet!
Parking:Parking is available along the streets of Tipton Lakes Neighborhood. Please do not park on residents grass and be respectful of not blocking driveways, etc.
Family Activities: Columbus Gymnastic Center and staff will be present on race day for entertainment for kids. There will also be a bounce house. We encourage spectators and will have bleachers available at the finish line. We will be selling water on race day and Casey's Cookies will be present selling cookies.
**The Columbus Challenge benefits the Foundation For Youth Scholarship Fund**
